Blogging about my iPod shuffle

I have to say that I am very impressed with my iPod
shuffle. I know I am a little behind as far as technological prowess goes, so I was a bit hesitant about jumping on the MP3 bandwagon. I am so glad I did. I am still amazed that something so small can can hold so many songs. At first I was very picky about what songs I deemed "pod worthy", but then I realized I could fit my whole CD collection on there and still have room to download more from iTunes. Housework and excercise no longer seem so bad. It just goes to show you, you can teach and old dog new tricks!

Blogging and Libraries

I think there are several ways blogging can be used in libraries. It can be used internally, as a tool for staff within the library system to discuss different ideas with each other. It can be used externally, to give staff from different library systems a forum to share ideas. It can also be used within the library system, for patrons to discuss what they would like to see at their libraries.

7 1/2 Habits

I think the 7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners are useful tools for everyone to have. They can act as a template for all future learning. This can be very helpful once you are away from a structured learning environment. The habit that may give me the most trouble is Habit #3: View problems as challenges. I may find it harder to stick with something when problems start popping up if it is something that I am doing just for me, and not something I have to do.
